How is the Emergency
Alarm activated?
In the event of an emergency, the child simply
needs to press two buttons simultaneously to
activate the alarm. A 110 decibel piercing alarm
will be activated and the red LED Light's will
flash in an SOS distress signal pattern.
How is the Emergency
Alarm deactivated?
The only way to deactivate the Emergency Alarm
is by pressing your four-button secret code. If
you have not set up your secret code yet, the
default code will be “1111”. Remember, to ensure
the safety of your child, it is important to
change the factory default code, and to choose a
code that your child can easily remember. In the
event that the Emergency Alarm gets activated
and you have forgotten your secret code, the
Emergency Alarm will sound for a period of five
minutes. When the five minute period ends, you
will be able to create a new secret code.
How do I set up the
secret code?
The watch will arrive with a factory default
code. The default code to deactivate the alarm
is “1111”. To ensure the safety of your child,
it is important to change the factory default
code, and to choose a code that your child can
easily remember. To change the default code,
displayed on the LCD as four plus signs, press
Button 1, four times. The LCD will then display
four zeros. The new secret code can consist of
any 4 digit combination of Buttons 1, 2 and 3.
For example, to set the code “1223”, press
Button 1 once, Button 2 twice, and Button 3
once, in that order. After you enter the code,
press the SET button to save the code.
How do I set the
Parental Controls?
1. Press SET
button repeatedly until the LCD shows ‘OFF' with
the silent icon (--) blinking.
2. Press
Button 1 to toggle the On/Off mode.
3. When ‘ON'
is shown on the LCD, press the SET button. The
LCD shows ‘ST' (start) and '12:00' in cycle.
4. Press Button 2 (search forward), Button 1
(search backward), and the SET button to set
start time. Once the start time is set, the LCD
will show ‘END' and '12:00' in cycle.
5. Press
Button 2 (search forward), Button 1 (search
backward), and the SET button to set the end
time. Once the end time is set, the days will be
shown on the top of the LCD.
6. Press
Button 1 to scroll from left to right through
the days, and press Button 2 to set or unset a
day. Once it is complete, press the SET button
to save the settings. The ( ) silent mode icon
will appear on the LCD only during the time the
parental control feature is active.
How do I set Reminder
Alerts?
You can set reminder alerts to notify your child
that it is time to come home for dinner, or time
to do their homework.
1. Press SET
button repeatedly until the LCD shows ‘OFF' with
the reminder icon blinking.
2. Press
Button 1 to toggle the On/Off state.
3. When ‘ON'
is shown on the LCD, press the SET button. The
LCD shows'12:00'.
4. Press
Button 2, Button 1 and SET button to set the
reminder time. When the reminder is triggered at
the preset time, a 3 second long chirp will be
heard. Pressing Button 1 or Button 2 will
deactivate the chirp.
How do I change the
faceplate?
Each watch has 3 interchangeable faceplates
(including the faceplate already on the watch)
in different themes and colors. The faceplate
can be easily removed and changed.
1. Pull up
the faceplate by the raised lip.
2. Mount on
the new faceplate by inserting tabs on faceplate
first, then push down to snap in place.
Note: you can also wear the watch without
a faceplate. This will not affect any of the
features of the watch, including the quality of
the sound emitted by the Emergency Alert.

How do I replace the
OnGuard watch batteries?
The OnGuard Personal Safety Alert Watch uses
three SR44 batteries that are readily sold at
drugstores and other retail outlets. To insure
the proper function of the Emergency Alarm, it
is very important that the batteries be changed
when the low battery indicator is illuminated.
To replace the batteries:
1. Remove
the metal plate on the back of the watch with a
small Phillips head screwdriver.
2. Remove
plastic battery cover.
3. Remove
the old batteries.
4. Load
three new batteries. Make sure that the positive
(+) and the negative (-) ends are facing
correctly.
5. Replace
the back plastic battery housing cover and metal
watch case back. * How do I turn on the

flashlight button and hold it down.

How do I replace the
flashlight batteries?
The Flashlight uses two (2) CR1220 batteries for
the power supply.
1. Remove
the flashlight housing with a small Phillips
head screwdriver.
2. Slide the
batteries aside one by one.
3. Load two
new batteries. Make sure that the positive (+)
and the negative (-) ends are facing correctly.
4. Replace
the flashlight housing back. Note: Keep
batteries out of the reach of small children. If
a battery is swallowed accidentally, contact
your physician immediately.
